For most of my adult life, I followed the traditional path — the corporate grid, the steady work, the promotions, and the belief that stability came from staying inside a system. I worked hard, learned a lot, and poured myself into every role I held. But when the layoff notice came, something shifted. What I felt wasn’t just fear… it was a strange kind of clarity.

For the first time in years, I wasn’t tethered to someone else’s roadmap.I had the chance — maybe even the push — to rethink everything.

Instead of treating the layoff as an ending, I chose to see it as a reset.
A permission slip.
A doorway into a life I hadn’t let myself imagine.

Over time, I realized I’ve always been a creator.

I’ve always been the person who loves design, storytelling, problem‑solving, and building things from nothing.

I just hadn’t allowed those parts of me to be the main part of my life.

So I decided to build something of my own — something flexible, expressive, modern, and fully aligned with who I actually am.

That’s how Rodden Reef Creative Co. was born.

It isn’t built from a place of running away from corporate — it’s built from recognizing my value outside of it.
It’s built from years of experience: payroll, member services, quality management, training, digital marketing, design, creativity, leadership, and communication. All those chapters weren’t wasted; they became the foundation.
